DaddyBrockblog
This is for Rosie; I went to Sisteron ysterday for the TdF. Cycled up the last 9 kms as road closed to cars by then for Tour. Lots of banners at top and timing kit. I found a good spot on a hairpin; masses of dutch and of course French too. I could see down the vqlley qnd thus watch race coning fron afar. Helicos, gendarmes on motos, then the caravan [this is an awful keyboard, not onmy is it in french -azerty - the keys are also sticky]. Caravan a good laugh, inc two London taxis qs Tour stqrts in London next yeqr; Vqche aui Rit; qnd Qauqrel (sorry Aquarel) giving qwqy wqter qnd qlso spraying the crowd with hoses - most welcome. Then qftr lots of cqrs a breakawy group of six arrived, five mins aheqd of peloton; cycling at circa 25 kph; then peloton, huge really up close, yellow jersey; then big gap and four guys after about four mins, big cheer for them; and finally one chap - Gilbert from Française des Jeux - on his own at the very back, well down; we gave him a big big cheer and shouted him on with lots of allez, courage etc. for which he looked greatful. Saw Hincapie between the team cars behind peleton; not good. But Floyd Landis is is 2nd overall. Difficult to make out Millar among 120 odd riders in peleton however.
Lots of love daddybrock
