Sheep

It had to come eventually. We could not avoid making the acquaintance of some of the 39 million sheep (that's nine sheep per human). We had to re-programme to account for the shoulder, and abandon the rafting on the Mohaka River. (For the new programme, see next post.) But we retained the overnight stop at Titioraki, which you might call a B&B with sheep farm attached. Robbie and Tracy welcomed us into their home, and sent us on a walk over the sheep farm.

The farm has a few high points...

...and a mountain stream falling down the hillside.
Here however is the mountain stream on which we should have been.

Glad to see the excellent blog is still being updated despite the handicap. We used to have far more sheep - 60 million! All that wine growing must have replaced them. The photos are great. PS we think your swimming togs are just fine David and no need to go back to the yellow variety. We have had such a fun time with you both, Love S & P XX

Thanks for the support on the swimming togs front. We too have had a great time with you. What a joy it has been.

The wine goes well with lamb I think.

How could you mention wine and lamb in the same sentence, it must be like salt on sore wounds for a Kiwi sheep! xxx
